What Being an "Us" Has Taught Me About Love

Because i love you,

I will always give you some space when you ask

I will always play along with your silly games

Your jokes are unfailingly funny

I will always listen to the new bands you send me

I’ll also always listen when you feel like you are worth nothing

I will stick by your side when things get hard, not leave because its easier for me

Because you love me,

You will always watch tv when I ask

You ask what I think, how I feel

You come to my concerts, even though you don’t really like band

I know I can count on you when I need stability

You respect when I say no, and the discussion ends there

You want what is best for me

Because we love each other

We understand this is a give and take

I have my part to play, and you have yours

We know that we need each other, and to make this work we must truly love each other
