What can you do?
What can you do?
When the one person
Who fills your heart with joy
Decides to treat you like a skeleton in a closet
Keeping you in the shadows and only showing compassion behind concrete walls
But when those walls turn to glass
He pushes you away to the corner with a cold look in his eyes
Leaving you with confusion infused with frustration
Causing devastation to read off the smile
That forcibly per trudges through anger and pain
As you allow your lover aka puppet master
To take control transforming the day you were finally saved by your knight in shinning armor
To the day you were put back under the protection of a gruesome dragon that spits a flame consumed by darkness
I think it's about time to confess
To confess that not everything is alright
That despite the signs you continue to follow the petty thief that has stolen your heart
Who leads you onto believe he is the man to take care of you till death
The same one who saved you from the tower
Just to be passed down the line friend after friend
And only to return to that boy
Bloody and bruised and yet you still hold on to your fairy tale ending
Consisting of you being put on display upon a gold chariot
But instead you find yourself crawling on your knees because you gave up your feet
Just because of the fact that they were smart to retreat
As that childish man stands upon you like a precious god
I don't understand
Does he kiss you on the cheek and tell you you are beautiful
Does he scream at the top of his lungs that you are his Queen
Despite the looks he will get from his friends
Or does he grab you by the ass and whistles the hustlers tune
Does he ignore you and treat like dirt and only in the shadows whispers a meaningless " I love you"
Don't you deserve better then that!!
You a beautiful girl with a heart of gold
You make a statement when you walk in the room
That screams of confidence and superiority
And yet you let it hide in the corner
As you allow Slut and Easy A in scarlet letters to amplify its voice
I'm not sure if that's by choice or if you can't see for self your own inner power
That by every passing day it radiates off your body
Growing more and more
Till the point you explode to reveal your core
Buried in scars and a black fluid that I'm guessing is the venom that came with that boy
And yet I'll embrace you hold you tight and tell you what you are and what others dream to be
And In that fleeting moment I felt complete but at the same time I watched as you walked away with another boy with chains on your feet
