What Can't I?

What can I say to make it better?

What can I say to make it not hurt?

What can I say to you in a simple letter,
without me sounding curt?

What can I do to make it up?

What can I do to help you out?

What can I do for all the stuff,
that created this whole bout?

What can I try to make this work?

What can I try to make you see?

What can I try to show I am also hurt,
and am not completely crazy?

Why can't you give me a chance?

Why can't you give me a response?

Why can't you help me advance,
and deal with both of our wants?

I guess that is what happens when you do not match,

when you do not see eye to eye,

when you are not a complete catch,
and the love you felt was a lie.
But then again, isn't that most love nowadays?

I’m currently a graduating senior just writing what I feel through poetry. It is the only form of art that I truly feel expresses what I’m trying to say.
