What Comes Eventually
Unfettered anger seeps into your soul, unhinged now by bitter musings,
Pointed blades that know no bound.
Digging deep, festering in the abyss, it pains your heart, poisons your mind.
You hear it. Those words. Again and again.
The cacophony of laughter, aimed directly at you. A veritable prison,
In the supposed safe haven of your learning environment.
The world, your world, fights you tooth and nail against all that you are.
It aches, those words. It transmutes your soul. It tries to change you.
And you let it overpower you. Washed away, you exist as a hollow shell.
Numb is your head now, yet your own heart feels a terrible hurt.
Where did it go wrong? Where is the end?
You have no more quips about your burdens. The solution is far away,
But you cannot bring yourself to it. Sought after solace too, exists,
However, only in a realm beyond your own.
A prison, bound by words, sealed even tighter with sigils of emotion.
Has it been days? Months?
You wallow in the darkness, not knowing what comes, beckons.
There are soft whispers, gently touching your ears,
Humming in your mind.
No longer are the blades sharp, no longer are they heard.
A shadow looms over you, watching from afar.
Escape seems unlikely, but someone is there,
Right there, for you.
You will make it. You know that now.
