What Could Have Been

(poems go here) Everyday she wakes up feeling lost and unknown. She doesn't fit in, she's lost and alone. That one decision determined her whole life. The pain of not knowing is like a stab from a knife. She thinks every day, Why did they give her away? Was she not good enough? Was she a mistake? She just wishes she knew, who she really is. A fighter, a lover, a troubled kid? They don't get her or understand, This isn't the way her life was planned. If she could have just one simple wish, It would be to meet them, to know, what her life could have been. If they kept her, would she still be her? Or would her she belong to a different world?
