Of What Could Never Be

                 No.

Refusing to admit it

even to myself.

It'll never last

we'll be done and he'll be off

his wings outstretched.

I know he'll soar

far higher then I'd dare

all he has to do is

 fly and he'll be

                        Free . . .

If I admited it

how could I ever let him go?

I'd drag him down with my leaden soul.

He deserves so much better than

                              Me . . .

So no,

I can't,

I won't,

I'll try to be as strong as he

and watch him as

he flies

while I quietly

                      Dream . . .

Of what could never be . . .

Katherine Sheamansmith

I love to read and write as hobbies. I am currently writing a novel, but poetry is what I like to write more. I have an account on quotev as well, under a pseudonym where the poem "Lover of the Bees" is also posted, along with the novel I am working on. Other than writing I love music and hiking, the beach, among many other things. I find that these things can often be inspirational for me because of the serenity I can find there. Basically I am a loud mouthed Drama kid who like to put her swirling thoughts to paper in spare time. Eventually I will make a better bio, but until then, here it is. I hope you enjoy my work, and please leave comments, there is always room for improvement.
