what is depression like?

Well its like drowning in a pitch black ocean. But you look around and all of the people are flying in the rainbows. And from their point of view you are too. They don't see the air bubbles escaping from your mouth as you try to swim. They can't help you cause they see the lie you show them. No I'm not saying its your fault. But we're like fairy tale creatures or ghosts. Others can only see what we show them. And when we finally try showing them you're drowning the last bit of air escapes and you go deeper. It seems like you can't get out of the water. Finally when they see you're that way "its just for attention" that's when you feel like diving head first into a pool without water. Because you can't drown without water right?
