What Depression Feels Like

Depression Isn't sadness.

It's empty.

Hopeless.

Lonely.

Here's what it feels like to me:

Every day fighting my head wondering,

"What if i left?

What if i died?

Does anyone even care?

No one noticed I just cried.

I'm just a nobody.

Who even cares about me?

What would you do if i disappeared suddenly?"

I just keep suffering.

Everyday Wondering:

"Why don't you notice me?

Nobody cares.

What if I die?

Would you even cry?

Of course you wouldnt my life is a lie."

Sitting with my brothers feeling left out.

They didn't notice me I wanted to shout.

I thought to myself "Why do I even try?

No one cares about me I might as well die.

What if I leave?

Would they even see?"

"Why am I here?"

Depression isn't sadness.

It's fear.
