What Did He Have Over You?

You are smart, successful and beautiful and you have a big heart

You can have any man, so finding a good one shouldn't be that hard

But you fell in love with a bad boy and he continued to hurt you over and over again

You continued to take him back when the relationship should have come to an end

What Did He Have Over You?  That's what I would like to know?

Why did it take him hurting you permanently, for you to finally let him go?

What Did He Have Over You? Was it his family or that you didn't want to be alone?

It's a shame that he really hurt you before you finally let him go

You have made your bed with these choices but I must admit that it makes me sad

That you were with someone with no regard for your well-being really makes me mad

He played russian roulette with your health and it's unforgiveable that he made you sick

It's mind boggling to me that you could ever be with a person like this

What Did He Have Over You? That's what I would like to know?

Did he have a vice grip on your heart and that's why you couldn't let him go?

What Did He Have Over You? That's what I would like to know?

Why did it take him hurting you permanently, for you to finally let him go?

To have so little regard for your well-being, how could you be with a person like this?

There are so many other women in your position, that would maim him for what he did

You have to live with this for the rest of your life, while he goes on like it was nothing

Maybe it was nothing to him but to the rest of us it sure was something

What Did Have Over You? Were you so enamoured with him that you didn't see the truth?

You could have had anyone else that would have only cared about you

What Did Have Over You? To make you want to move so far away?

It makes me sad that there wasn't enough good things here to make you want to stay
