What do i need, or

What can't you live without?

Air would be obvious, for without it we'd die.

but for others a phone, a person, or last friday night's high.

Do you want, or do you need? See,that is the key

The key to unlock the truth inside of me.

No need for materialistic things, phones, laptops, or a shiny house key,

for the one thing i need is inside of me.

Inside of my soul, inside of my heart

filling my mind, inspiring art.

Comforting me,when everything was black,

knees to my chest, the wall against my back.

It helps to  just get rid of  it all ,

no wanting to jump off the edge, no more room to fall

No more Feeling hopeless, alone, and trapped

No blanket of insecurities to be inside, tightly wrapped.

What is the thing i can't live without?

The thing that gives me a reason to be happy and to shout.

To help  escape to a world that bends at my will,

Where the water will ripple, and never be still.

The one thing you need, to lift you up, to get you through any activity,

Is one thing we all possess, that thing is our creativity.
