well can you feel the peer pressure

and religion the oppressor?

 

they call us slackers, but we stress,

"our generation wants progress."

...yet we're riddled with student debt

for many, poverty's a threat

 

we're overqualified indeed

"brew coffee for corporate greed"

 

let's burn up those fossil fuels quick

so a collapse can make us sick

high GDP, terminal health

addicted to power and wealth

 

our generation will decide

how to evoke great change worldwide

 

with a whimper or bang you said
