But what do you hate?
But what do you hate?
I hate that I had to fight when I thought I was safe,
I hate that I had to grow up so fast.
I hate that I had to hide how I felt,
That,
I had to stand alone for the sake of not being
anyone’s burden.
I hate that I have to heal from things that were not my fault!
I hate that I inherited battles that are too strong for me—
That’s what I hate.

Your Poem's Voice
Deeply personal trauma and autobiographical grief, minimal abstraction.
Dense accumulation of grievances; multiple ideas compressed into single passage.
Strongly negative; saturated with anger, resentment, and pain throughout.
High kinetic intensity; staccato declarative statements, building fury and urgency.
Micro to short; single extended sentence-fragment cluster, approximately 50-60 words.
Some metaphorical language ('inherited battles') but mostly direct, declarative statements.
Pure lyric internal voice; confessional first-person exploration of personal emotion.
