What Do You Want to Be?
When I was little
All I ever heard
Was how everyone wanted to be
Superheroes
Ballerinas
Power Rangers
And Princesses
But I couldn’t help but think
That I.
Just want.
To be
Me.
As we grew older
The answer to
“What do you want to be
When you grow up?”
Matured.
Vets
Lawyers
Politicians
And Scientists.
Yet still
I Just
Wanted.
To be.
Me.
Then...
Then something funny
Happened.
A silly man
With a tie that never stayed straight...
A man with coffee stains and a passion
For change
Entered my life.
This man taught me that
That passion?
That emotion your feeling?
That IS you.
That IS who you are.
That IS what you need to
Share with the world...
What you need to harness...
A tool you MUST utilize in EVERYTHING
You do.
Many people say
“I work with...”
But me?
I AM a teacher
An educator
A guiding hand
With a gentle
Passionate
Soul.
That is who I am.
THAT is me.
