What Does Love Mean to Me?

Dear Future Me,

Did you ever find out what love means to you?

Has your view on love changed?

Or are you no longer in this world to find out?

I know my thinking maybe dark.

But the world isn't fair sometimes.

And sometimes the world is gray instead of black or white.

So what is love to you now?

Remember when I was young?

I used to think there was no point in loving others was pointless.

Loving others actually brings more pain than happiness.

Remember when people would tell you they loved you and past self would say okay?

So what does the me of now think?

I think love can be shown in many ways.

Some that I cannot understand

Such as the love a parent has for their child

Or the love girlfriend or wife has for their soulmate.

But I now know what is it to love someone who is not a member or the family.

A friend who acts like your family.

A friend who tells you they love you after getting a letter from you.

A friend who actually to know why you are crying.

Love is seen in many forms.

Have you finally seen or experienced all the forms of love?

Love can make you sad.

Love can make you happy.

Make the love bring you more happiness instead of sadness.

Sincerely,

Past Me
