What A Dream

My heater starts to blow on me As I stare onto the porch. The boredom of my Winter screams For an adventure of some sort. I stay indoors and eat all day But today I heard a sound. I ran down my driveway And found a hole in the ground. And in that hole I found two things Some money and a phone. I took them both, who wouldn’t have? And hid them in my coat. I ran back in. Went to my room To lay down and sleep. I smiled and stared at the moon Until sleep came over me. When I awoke the stuff was gone And so I began to think. None of it was real at all It all had been a dream.
