What is flawless

I didn't know what you meant when you said our love is flawless,

Did you mean that I was perfect?

Or that you were?

I didn't know if you meant there would be no fights,

Or no long sad nights,

Nor could I ever believe in such a fantacy life,

I know better than to believe our love is flawless,

It's like saying there would be a happily ever after,

No problems,

No tears,

No fears,

But I can tell you now that that's not true,

I have so many reasons to tell you why,

I love you, don't get me wrong,

But you're not flawless,

You drink too much,

You leave too often,

You've lost your heart too many times,

Maybe I do understand what you mean now,

I don't love you because your flawless

I love you because your not,

So yes we'll fight,

We'll yell and scream

And I will cry

But you'll come back and so will I,

Our love isn't perfect because we are,

It's flawless because were not
