What Happened Ever After

Once Upon a Time,

A maiden met a prince.

And with a magic slipper,

That maid became a royal.

There was happily ever after,

But then what came next?

She might have become Queen,

And the prince become a King.

They could have raised a family,

With little royal kids.

And what of the evil sisters,

We're told they were forgiven.

Did they ever find love?

Or happiness, or peace?

Did they ever change their ways,

Or continue down their paths?

Such endings are for each of us

To assume and speculate.

Each of us has our ending

That they hope or think might be.

But only the author truly knows

What happened ever after.
