What happened to the peace?

What happened to the peace?

The hearts that held hope,

the eyes that believed,

the souls that gave more than their worth.

What happened to the peace?

Here only stands the cruelest ends of good intentions.

Here breathes the pains of faith.

Here lies those dreams

and should-have-been heroes who

were abandoned by the ones that once

believed in them.

Oh how they were damned by their love,

these poor beings, trapped by the fire

that rages from inside.

Screaming, pleading for a chance.

Just one chance.
