what happened to you

deep in the field where my father now lies

his grief stricken daughter stands proud, and stricken with melancholy

your mossy gravestone stands alone, as I do now.

what happened to you

no longer do you care to wipe the tears that fall

because no pinkie promise will last

but somehow I find myself loving you still

what’s wrong with me what happened to you

what happened to the years of your love, where have they gone

i’m left here, seventeen hours behind

watching you give the love that was once mine

I remember how you were

I grieve that father. the one that is dead.

what happened. what happened to you.
