What is Happiness?

Happiness is temporary. 

A simple state that those,

With superficial ideals,

Perceive to be everlasting. 

"Happily ever after" they say. 

Snow White is naive. 

Trusting of strangers to easily. 

Allowing her heart to be throw In the wind. 

Lacking guard, 

As all other princesses do, 

Causes a never ending string of problems 

To only be solved by mere luck. 

A luck all princesses

Seem unquestionably to posses. 

Always "Happily ever after" they say. 

Cinderella is a sham.  

A simple spell, 

To change her appearance 

in order to please society itself.

A deceitful way to get what she wants. 

But beauty is not everlasting, 

Facades fall and fade. 

If beauty is a princesses focal point, 

What will her prince think of her 

The very next day? 

Still, "Happily ever after" they say. 

Sleeping beauty is mute. 

She fell into her predestined path, 

A life that was chosen For her. 

Without question or thought,

Without protest or voice, 

Married a stranger. 

A marriage built upon nothing but air itself,

Do you really believe it will last? 

Nevertheless ,"Happily ever after" they say. 

According to them, 

society's ideals, 

the epitome of "Happily ever after", 

the princesses of perfection, 

Credulousness,

 Fraudulentness, 

and submissiveness

Are the qualities needed for happiness. 

The qualities needed  for temporary joy. 

But still, 

I suppose, 

This pristine image littered with mud,

That,

Is a 

"Happily ever after".
