what has happened to our nation

I hear the music in my ear drums of poor souls crying A teenage Girl pregnant I hear she dumps a baby in the bush She throws a baby while the babu cried The baby cries A hyena comes ,she thinks its a mother who came to fetch me The hyena eats the baby while the baby cries She cries She cries Untill she strugles too So tell me what has happened to our nation I hear a poor soul of a mother Crying out loud Why? You only hear that she thought we living in a safe world She comes from a long working day just to find something To put on her table She takes the passage as a short cut Only to hear her screaming loud ,struggling to help herself Only because she was attacked by her own neighbour son Stabbed to death All intestines out Clothes torned apart All dreams That bright future she thought off ,Varnishing, just because of the R500 she worked all day to support her family WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO OUR NATION
