What have I done?

To the red truck,

I’m sorry.

I had seen you before.
If I hadn’t wanted you to stay so badly,
this wouldn’t have happened.

I’m sorry.

I was newly-paved,
I hadn’t had much experience.

I’m sorry.

I know I was wet and slippery.
I just hadn’t seen the rain in so long.

I’m sorry.

You stayed for a while after.
Were you waiting for an apology?

I’m sorry.
