WHAT HAVE I DONE?
At first, your love was all-consuming
I felt alive, so full of meaning
But slowly, your words turned sharp as knives
Cutting me down, taking away my life
I tried to be strong, to fight the pain
But every day, it felt like I was going insane
Your words were like poison, seeping into my soul
Leaving me feeling empty, alone, and cold
I didn't want to believe it, I denied the truth
But I couldn't ignore the evidence, the proof
You said you loved me, but your actions showed hate
Leaving me to wonder if it was too late
I used to feel beautiful, strong, and sure
But now I feel small, insecure, and unsure
You twist my words, you belittle my dreams
Leaving me feeling lost, torn at the seams
I know I deserve better, I know I'm worth more
But it's hard to leave when I'm so unsure
Maybe one day I'll find the strength to go
To break the chains that keep me down so low
Until then, I'll hold on to my hope
That someday, I'll be able to cope
And find a way to heal my shattered heart
To find the strength to make a brand new start.
