What Is A Healthy Relationship?

Be honest with me. Don’t say I am fine when you are not, tell me how you really feel.

Envision a future with me, let’s explore the different directions we want our relationship to go

Catch a movie with me after work because enjoy spending time with me

Accept me for my many faults, mistakes, insecurities and idiosyncrasies

Uplift me when I am feeling down, make me laugh when I don’t want to

Say what you mean, and mean what you say, please don’t lash out verbally because you are angry or hurt

Envelop me with your strong arms and make me feel safe, loved and secure

Impart your wisdom so that I can become a better person, don’t let me self-destruct

Let me have my space when I need it

Open up your heart to me, don’t shut me out or give me the cold shoulder

Violate the laws of adulthood and be silly with me

Engage me, interact with me, challenge me

You can be yourself around me, take off the mask you wear around everyone else

Openly discuss things with me, if I hurt you tell me and give me a chance to right the wrong, don’t go to bed harboring ill feelings towards me

Understand my point of view (or at least try to), take into account my thoughts and feelings

You gave your heart freely to me and that is one of the most courageous things a person can do.

And it is one of the most precious gifts a person can receive.
