What heart I must sear!

What heart I must sear!

To make the beating stop,

To cook the bloody feelings of sorrow.

Let it stew and sore,

Burn it to a crisp.

I let him chop it

Into fine pieces

And serve it to me,

But I had not the strength to taste again.
