What Hit You (Lyrical poem)

Oh when the drugs wear out and the crash kicks in

painful glares pierce through yout thick skin

and it all comes down  to who you are with in

not who you try to be, just to fit in

everything around you  goes by so slow

and when its all over you didnt even know

what hit you, oh what hit you

and when your lying in your bed staring at the cieling

thinking of regrets  and bottled up feelings

lying to your self saying all it is is dealing

lookin back at day one tryna find meaning

then you start to see, how fast it went by

the first day she said hi, now she's saying goodbye

and you dont even know what hit you

oh what hit you

*

broke all the promises you made in september

now its finally summer, and you barely just remembered

how it all started, and what came after

hurt alot of people but that doesnt even matter

coz now you say sorry, but no one whats to listen

big empty space, something still missin

made the wrong friends, chased the wrong women

the drugs have worn out but man youre still trippin

before it all started, you swore youd do better

and the journy began, when you got that letter

but you slipped up, and didnt know what to do

you question your self, but only one thing is true

you screwed up didnt you

*

everything around you  goes by so slow

and when its all over you didnt even know

what hit you, oh what hit you

then you start to see, how fast it went by

the first day she said hi, now she's saying goodbye

and you dont even know what hit you

oh what hit you

when the drugs wear out and the crash kicks in

all the fun is over, reality's mixed in

and you dont even know what hit you, oh what hit you
