What Is Hope?

A spectacle of hope,

A moment passing by.

The grasping of a rope,

As the blood begins to dry.

That is hope.

Now the question will arise:

"How does hope affect an individual?"

This may come as a surprise,

But the answer isn't so typical.

What is hope?

A moment standing still,

The relieved sigh of a burdened heart.

Emptiness beginning to fill,

The reuniting of the ones torn apart.

That is hope.

Why is hope not always present?

Why do these moments pass us by?

If it allows us to ascent,

To scale the mountains and fly.

What is hope?

Hope is but a moment,

A notion to persevere.

It's a necessary component,

To overcoming fear.

That is hope.

How does hope affect the society;

The people as a whole?

This answer comes with variety,

It truly comes down to the role.

What is hope?

It spreads like fire,

As a strong wind blows.

Brining together people with one desire,

With the rest lying prone.

That is hope.

This world is full of injustice,

Lying, stealing, murder; to even the extent of genocide.

It all looks very hopeless,

What can the victims do but stay alive?

What is hope?

Hope is a light in the dark,

It draws us near.

It gives us the igniting spark,

That drives away fear.

That is hope.

Hope is the key to strength,

Creating potential power.

Bringing ignorance to the assigned ranks,

Emerging a rebellion that won't cower.

That is hope.

Hope is the will to live,

The endurance to continue on.

Not from being privileged,

Or dwelling on things done wrong.

That is hope.

Hope can be silent,

Or it can be loud.

It can be defiant,

But normally it's not proud.

That is hope.

Hope is perseverance,

Continuing on.

It can reveal,

A person's outlook and life song.

That is hope.

Hope is important to all of us,

both old and young.

With it you can overcome any obstacle,

And hope will not fail anyone.
