What Hurts the Most

What hurts the most is what we had And we were always so close Through the good and through the bad But this is the life God chose What hurts the most is what we shared The memories we had together It's sad to think that we once cared Promising we'd be best friends forever It's funny how we can't even smile Or even exchange a "hello" or "goodbye" I think to myself every once in a while It's amazing how one can be dead but alive )
