What I am Becoming

I am Strength.

Not by own admission per say,

But instead, by her that knows me best.

She knows my heart, my soul, my head,

and she calls me Strength.

I'd call myself mild-mannered.

Not unmovable, or willful or resilient.

I see an ordinary man full of potential,

with a heart full of loss,

but one that gives great effort all the same.

Strength is what I am in many eyes,

But not in my own.

However, as I grow, as I live, and as I experience,

I find myself more sure, more determined, more inspired.

I do what I can, when I'm given an opportunity,

And provide help to those that need it.

So I suppose in a way,

I am becoming Strength.
