What I Am Thankful For

Being brought into this world

Was enough to be grateful for

Experiencing the power of a warm embrace

Was enough to make me feel loved for

Peaceful nights of tranquility

Waking up to the peak of dawn

Gazing into the eyes of another being

Not being afraid to reach out to someone

Learning to pull those reaching for that someone

Admiring the day from morning to dusk

And finally thought to myself

Everyday that I am living and breathing

Was enough to be thankful for
