What I be


I am what I am

and I be what I be

'cause I say what I see and I mean what I mean.

No trip trippin' or dirty Dan mixin' of words and phrases as power plays

and no quick trickin' or freakin' and frickin' of winks of the eyes

and flick of the wrists.

I be on my all

I be on this. Kiss

to the haters and kiss to the lovers,

kiss to eachother and kiss to my mother.

Grounded in roots but branching to sea. I see the future.

The future is me.
