What I Cannot Offer

The inner beauty that we have been blessed with by the most high,

hidden by the mask that society has renamed as beauty.

It was not the outer shell that men of days past loved,

but the inner soul that men of days past cherished.

Oh! You men of this age!

Must my eyes, my lips, entice and enthrall you?

Must my body seduce you?

My beauty enriched through words,

My beauty embellished through actions.

No!

It is not enough, you men of this age.

Skin deep...is what I cannot offer.
