What I Could Not Live Without

It is all around,

In the leaves of the trees, in the buzzing of the bees

In the crashing waves and the sweet ocean breeze.

We hear it all the time but do not take into account

The thing that I could not live without.

Music is life, a sweet sound to the ear

It can make your worries disappear.

It can cause you to cry, or praise or even shout

It is the thing I could not live without.

Music can bring joy or peace in times of sadness

It can cure people who are driven to madness

Music is always there in pain and doubt

Music is the thing I cannot live without.

People think it is just sound

But what would we do if it weren't around?

Music has given my life a new route

That is why it is the thing I could not live without.
