What I Found When I Lost It All

When I could not spend a day with you

I spent one all alone

And when I couldn’t look into your eyes

I looked into my soul

When I couldn’t hold your hands

I made good use of mine

And when I had a question for you

The answer wasn’t hard to find

And for every day I’ve spent without you

And for every tear I’ve cried

I’ve found a part of me

That I once tried to hide

So through all the pain

I’ve been somehow set free

For in losing you

I’ve stumbled upon me
