What I hate about you
I like the way he dresses, studied nonchalance of a bad boy that doesn’t care
I like the way he smells, unique scent that leaves me breathless
I like the way he smiles, crooked playful smile as if he knew all secrets of my heart
I like the way he looks at me when I talk to him unceasingly to hide my nervousness
I like the way he talks, his deep and low voice contrasting with his slang
I like the way he stays silent when I need to talk or when I need to think
I like the way he understands what I feel without me saying a word
I like the way he knows when I need him by my side to comfort me
I like the way he teases me gently and plays with me when I’m grumpy
I like the way he walks, confident that the sun will shine after the rain
I love him.
But…
I hate the way he dresses to go on a date with her
I hate the way he wears the perfume she bought him
I hate the way he smiles at her as if they were alone in the world
I hate the way he looks at her losing himself in her eyes
I hate the way he whispers love in her ears
I hate the way he stays silently staring at her while she talks
I hate the way he understands me so well but is so blind of my feelings
I hate the way he knows what to do so that I can’t hate him anyhow
I hate the way he teases me and plays with my heartbeats while holding her hands
I hate the way he walks, confidently as a happy man that found his reason to live
I hate him but my heart doesn’t understand that.
