What I Have Done
No one can ever be entirely sure as to what all I´ve done.
Even I myself am not certain.
I don't tell everything,
Nor do I show it all.
Some know more of my dark side,
Others more of my light.
Some things I wear like a cape,
While others I hide in my lockbox.
I am not proud of it all,
But I am not ashamed of it all either.
Those that underestimate me will never truly know the extremities that
I will go to to save myself.
I work to help myself. So what?
I can be kind, but I pick and choose.
I am also a bit selfish, and I
Might as well admit it now.
But I am also ambitious and
I am determined as well.
I will get what I need.
I may not win immediately,
But I will eventually.
That is my mindset.
I am not a princess. I am a queen.
I won't sit back and wait for a king.
I will be busy with my kingdom until he arrives.
I have done bad things,
Everyone has.
They are a part of me that can never be erased.
But it is not all that I am.
I may not be a hero,
But I am strong willed.
I will not stand for anything I disagree with.
I will put my heel down on the unjust eels´ tail.
If it does not align with my own beliefs,
I will trample it mercilessly with no remorse.
My sense of justice is unflinching and
I will not have others push me around.
My mistakes do not define me,
But my actions and thoughts are a part of me.
Permanently.
