What I have Learned About Poetry

Life can be complicated and also very simple.

Life is practicing restraint while embracing freedoms. 

Life is the mixture of emotions.

Never always beautiful or always gruesome.

Poetry is the description of life,

all of the underlying thoughts behind the creative mind.

The structure of words that move like a body of water.

Misinterpret the work and you might lose your footing.

The current could drag you deep into the depths 

you suffocate as you try to grasp the meaning.

Poetry is the life of a poet

which is anyone and everyone
