What I Learned From Poems

A poem  takes you to new places

where you have never been before.

A poem can create new spaces

for your emotion to boil up and pour

out into society, out into society

for all to see.

A poem touches the heart.

Little do many people know

it touches you right from the start.

A poem may seem to put on a show

but inspires a message to reach everyone

regardless of where they came from.

A poem is a method of self-expression

and reveals words can help you deal with the emotions a person is feeling.

A poem can act as a form of meditation

when you have a soul needing healing.

This is what I learned from the poems

the various types of poems I read throughout my life.
