What I look up to
People
Me and you
What makes someone else better?
Is it that they can sing or dance or write or create better?
How do they become giants?
The ones we look up to.
Is it just a box, and we'll never expand to be as great until we step outside?
We'll I've stepped outside one night
And I looked up, as I always did.
What a sight I saw.
A extremely vast amount of dark and nothingness
And a small amount of light
As if there was a blanket covering us all,
and the lights shining through were just holes in the blanket.
But I when I saw this
Millions of questions began to fester in my head.
Some concrete, most abstract.
I then realized
It's not what people themselves do
it's the way they use the knowledge gained from what intrigued them
And the amount of darkness in the night sky
is the amount of knowledge not yet obtained
So much to be learned.
So many questions to be answered.
And as I stare far into the empty space,
I realize that answering these question:
about space; about the matters that fill it;
that my life is meant to find the answers.
As answering questions is our life's key
