What I Need

There are certain things in life

That one cannot live without

Such as food or drink but dont you think

You could be more creative in the things you need

For me, myself specifically, I shall ask one thing

Not the air to breathe, but my mind to think, but that being already mine

I shall choose instead a camera with which to record my history

To express myself I already write, and the world intact surrounding

A  blank canvas at every turn, but its permanence is doubtful

For therein comes the cameras use, for with a single shot

Whatever is drawn, whatever is writ is captured for all eternity
