What I Need Most
The water is clear as day,
I say as I lay eating food by the bay,
Although my stomach is filled and my thirst quenched,
I wallow in misery as my heart is wrenched,
For I am without the core of my life,
The kiss of a girl that could be my wife.
My needs are a blur when I think of love,
A majestic force from the clouds above,
I dream of peace and tranquility,
As I search for the person who will bring me stability,
My sanity is slowly failing,
As I escape further from thoughts of prevailing.
When I reach the end I lose my soul,
In the prison of a naive fool,
Then the clouds break and the storm clears,
As I stand on my feet and my core cheers.
There she stays as a holy divine,
Who becomes mine and lets my whole shine,
I say this now in triumph and satisfaction,
With no regrets of my past action,
If I were travelling a desert of land,
I would need only love for the coming sand.
