What I pretend to be

a tiny heart appears as (you) like my picture

i (cannot) hide the smile it brings

i feel beautiful as if you can finally (see)

me sitting here behind (the) computer screen

i question can this all be (real)

is this what it’s like to truly feel

of all the pictures online, you liked one of (me)

does your heart flutter (from what) you see

(i pretend) this doesn't affect me so

but trying (to be) perfect is hard, you know?
