What i ruined

I didn’t lose you all at once, I lost you in pieces I kept ignoring. In every moment I chose wrong, I told myself it wasn’t that serious, that you would understand that love was stronger than my carelessness. But love is not unbreakable, it just breaks quietly. You tried to hold on longer than you should have, I saw it and still I didn’t change enough not when it mattered, not when it counted. Now you look at me like someone you used to know like a memory that disappoints you. And I would take anger from you, I would take shouting from you, I would take anything from you, but not this distance that feels like I’m already gone while standing right in front of you. The worst part is not losing you, It’s knowing I taught you how to stop loving me.
