What I Saw

I saw the angel
And she looked me in the eye
I saw the angel
And slowly I began to cry
Oh god sent an angel
To repent me of my lies
Oh pretty angel
When will my soul begin to fly
How I long to fly

I saw the demons
Pouring hatred in my soul
I saw the demons
Taking my heart and leaving a hole
Oh satan sent a demon
And my loved ones paid the toll
Oh gruesome demon
Will you ever let me go
How I long to go

I saw a mirror
And my face was staring back
I saw a mirror
With a reflection broken and filled with cracks
Oh I had a mirror
And the truth it did not lack
Oh shattered mirror
I'll take myself down a new track
Because I'll never come back
