What I See All Around Me
Sitting in a room as the teacher told us to write about something that us dearest to our hearts
I sat and sat, and didn't know what idea could come to me
But when I stared out my window
The lightbulb turned on in my head
As I'm typing away I can see how the ending will end
It all started with a man on a corner trying to fend for himself each and everyday
Eating food that people thrown away
Laying in card board boxes fending from the cold
Blankets dirty haven't even washed up not even for a second
Early in the morning people passing by all through till the night
Not a word said
Not a voice spoken
Feet trampling constantly passing by you
Then comes the family with all them kids
All you see is ragedy close
Shoe's are talking
Hair never once been combed, and brushed through
You see they have a home
So why not dress a little better?
But what you don't see is the parents saving there last meal
For the kids so that they can eat, and live for another day
Next comes the people with disabilities
The cleft lip
Dwarf syndrome
Mentally retardation, and plenty more
So many people take things for granted like the rich from the poor
All becuase you got the money
Living in a nice home
Close on you're backs, and food to eat
And a place to lay your head, and go to sleep
Yes you are the big guns and you do have it all, but for once look over your head and above the horizon
You will see the other world around you
Even though they may have put themselves in that position, but you can still have the heart, look, and see
The others are broken hearted
The world that you're not used too
The mystery left untold only those shattered is filled with lost souls wanting to find an answer
The clue to the mystery
The one that will just take a look and see
This is what came to me
As I called it a messhed up world with different identities
