What I Want You to Know

I want you to know that I love you

That I always have and that I can’t help it

I want you to know that I accept if you can’t love me back

And that I’ll still love you

I want you to know how much I adore your gentleness

The way your eyes hold mine when they’re wide

The way your voice washes over me

The way you touch me and love me

I want you to know that I need your patience

I know I can be a lot

I know I can get lost

And I want you to know how much it means to me

When you always come to find me

I want you to know that I value your kindness

Even in my darkest moods

I want you to know that your steadiness, your strength

Has been my greatest pillar through these years

I want you to know that this love that I feel for you

Is bigger than me

And sometimes that scares me

But all of the time I think it’s beautiful

I think you’re beautiful

I want you to know that I will still be loving you

Even if you stop, even if now isn’t our time, even if anything

I want you to know that loving you

Is the easiest thing I’ve ever done

It feels like breathing

I want you to know that I love you

The pressure is off you

I love you

That’s all I need you to know
