What I Was Thinking About When I Zoned Out In Class
the problem with living in you head,
is that everything that exists out of it is so plain,
no surprises, no random gestures, absolutely predictable,
what i really mean is that it's boring,
in my head,
i’m a basket case dressed in lesbian attire with a head full of heart and a temperament built on impulse,
out here,
i'm just another passing soul,
the odd thing though,
is that everyone in my head has these oblong faces,
like their mouths are too heavy for their faces to carry,
it's those thoughts they keep locked in the cages they call their mouths,
The shoulda, woulda, couldas of past time.
these days they're whispering i love you’s to each other,
but what they really mean is,
i don’t what love is but i guess this hysteria i feel when you’re around,
is the same overplayed inspiration I see in the movies,
i know it’s that 4 letter word that triggers its enemy whenever it gets a chance,
I HATE!
the word pretentious,
because i thought this collection of letters was a masterpiece,
but now it’s the ramblings of another,
it’s ok though, i know you won’t judge,
for i have an oblong face out here,
i've got secrets you'll never know,
and many more thoughts.
