What I Would Change

This world is so vast

And yet so dark

The demons of sin

Invade our heart.

They make us cruel

They make us mean

The unleash the we

That should never be seen

What I would change

If I ever could

Is who runs the show

Who tames the heart

Who seems to know

All our secrets

All our desires

All the things we conspire

I would remove the man

Who makes the demons

And in his place

Put a man of peace

For he would sow

Into our hearts

Ideas of kindness

Of joy and Zen

And only then

Would we have rest

And only then

Would we be best
