What If...

What if we're in the same boat And we just don't know it? Blinded by misconceptions, Lies Hate Unreal ideas What if we both have those days When so many emotions crowd into our brains They condense into tears Falling from our eyes, In the silence of a school parking lot An empty house We cope differently, Faced with the same pain Neither willing to admit One silent, one vocal Trying to take away our pain Through different means Forcing others down, Silence We're opposite sides of the same coin, Duplicates in a mirror, I just wish I could know I wish you could know. We're going through the same storms We cannot sail alone on these rough seas The storms will be ending soon, Hold on. And I'll hold on with you.
