What if...
“Love” is a strong word
Sometimes it’s so hard to say
It’s like trusting a stranger with your usernames and pass codes...
You, being the new kid
I had to be your friend
It wasn’t until you smiled
Oh, that gorgeous smile
I had to be in a relationship with you
Weeks pass by and we gradually start having conversations
It wasn’t until one day we had a deep talk about our past relationships
You had to be mine
I can’t stop thinking about you
What if you feel the same way
I told one of my friends about about you
She thinks we’re cute together
What if we do look cute
But other girls like you just as much as me
They ask for your number
They tell you that they like you
I just sit there and pretend I don’t
Knowing deep down inside I wish you were all mine
I like your funny personality
I like your smile
I like that I can ask or tell you anything
I have mixed feelings about you
What if you like me
But i’ll never know because I don’t want to make the first move
The school dance is coming up
I want to go with you
What if you feel the same way
Maybe, maybe not
The dance is here
I see you
You see me
We hug and tell each other “you look nice”
We mingle with our friends
You disappear
I spot you with another girl
What if that girl was me
Talking, laughing, sitting so close to her
The same girl that you told me likes you
I remember you saying that you don’t know if you want be with her
I don't want you with her
I don’t know what to do
I want to be with you
You've only known her for a day
But you have her number
We’ve been friends for a while now
And I still don’t have your number
My friend forced me to talk to you
But when that moment arrived
The cat caught my tongue
I lost my chance
What should I do?
I want to wait for you to make the first move
It may be too late
But what if it’s not?
